She has had extensive training and knows an impressive list of cues including crate, mat, hip (walk by your side), leave it, drop it, and has good recall. Opal is highly treat-motivated and loves learning, making her a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys working with their dog. She has lived successfully with another dog, sharing both a home and even a crate, though she can be a little slow to warm up to unfamiliar dogs and will benefit from thoughtful introductions. Opal has also lived with children ages 5–8. She is crate and potty trained. Opal has shown interest in chasing and playing with cats, so a home without cats or one experienced in careful introductions would be the best fit.
