Hello, my name is: Peanuts Approx. DOB: 05/16/2014 Weight: 10.9 lbs Sex/Breed: Neutered male mini poodle mix Rescued From: ACCT Philly Found scared, alone, and in pain under a highway overpass in Philadelphia, Peanuts had given up. In the time it took for the Good Samaritan who found him to contact someone for help, he had barely moved, barely glanced their way. Even after he was picked up and brought to ACCT Philly, he preferred to keep to himself and wouldn’t engage with volunteers, even when offered yummy snacks to win him over. After a medical evaluation, it became clear why Peanuts was so withdrawn. He was in pain and needed help... fast. We scooped him up, brought him to All 4 Paws, and got him the medical attention he so desperately needed and deserved to bring the light back into his eyes. After a few weeks of TLC, recovering in a loving foster home, Peanuts is ready to find the family that will love this senior boy for the rest of his life! This little man doesn’t ask for much and is so grateful for a loving pat on the head and a comfy place to sleep. He has been great with other low-key dogs like him, seems fine with cats, and is mostly house trained when kept on a schedule appropriate for an older dog. He loves a nice, slow sniffy walk to stretch his legs, and doesn’t mind being carried along for the ride when he gets tired. He also rides great in the car, watching the world go by. It pains us to think what may have happened to this sweet old guy if he wasn’t found when he was. But now, he has a new outlook on life and is ready to be the center of your world!
