My Story

I'm Penny! I am a 2-year old Staffordshire mix weighing about 35 pounds. I am a petite powerhouse and a bundle of love and joy. I have loads of energy, but once I get outside play time my favorite thing is to curl up on the couch with you. I will do best in a home with only people, I am very picky about my dog pals. Looking for a small yet energetic companion? I'm your gal! Meet Penny, she is a 2-year old Staffordshire mix weighing about 35 pounds. She is a petite powerhouse and a bundle of love and joy. She has loads of energy, but once she gets some outside play time her favorite thing is to curl up on the couch. Her coat is a striking amber color and her build is small and muscular. She will look at you with her amber eyes full of joy and deep devotion. She is great at leash walks and loves to give kisses. She was recently living in a great foster home in North Carolina, so she is familiar with home life and more than ready to join your family. Looking for a smaller companion? She is your gal! Penny is eager and ready to be a part of your family! Penny's person is someone who is ok with her as an only dog or who can manage reactivity and provide slow, structured introductions as she is selective with her dog friends. Staffordshire Terrier are full of courage and tenacity, agility and strength. They are a mild, playful, eager-to-please companion with a reputation for being patient with the whole family and a special feel for kids. These are true-blue loyal companions, but it is vital that the pups be socialized with other dogs to learn good canine manners. Staffords do not usually stand particularly tall but they pour a gallon of dog into a quart-size container. These are rock-solid, muscular terriers. Learn more about the breed HERE.
