Piper - WI

Piper is a Maltese/Bichon Frise. She is 5 years of age. She was surrendered to Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN when were human poppa moved into hospice care and her human momma could no longer care for her. This is the only family that Piper had known. And, she was queen of her castle. Piper is approximately 12#. She is indifferent to cats and other dogs, although if there is a choice, she is more interactive with smaller male dogs. Because Piper was allowed to "rule the roost" we are looking for an "adult-only" family to adopt Piper. No children, please. Piper loves to be outdoors, loves long leash walks and enjoys sunning herself on the porch. Piper is not a cuddler, nor can she be considered a lap dog, however, she will sleep with her humans once she gains trust. Please reach out via email or phone for more specifics. Piper is fully vaccinated. She is microchipped, spayed and has had a dental cleaning this past month. AHFR is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFR is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue. Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia. All AHFR adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit. Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption. All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
