**Meet Poundcake!** Poundcake came to the shelter as a stray and is a sweet, sensitive boy who is looking for a patient family to help him feel safe and loved. He can be a little shy and cautious when meeting new people, and he is especially sensitive about his neck due to having worn improper equipment in the past. Because of this, he is recommended for a home with older children who can understand and respect his boundaries. Once Poundcake gets to know you, his affectionate side shines. He loves tasty treats, enjoys being talked to, and happily melts into pets and rubs from his trusted people. While he can show some barrier frustration in the kennel environment, outside in the world he transforms into a social, happy dog who is eager to greet people and take in all the excitement around him.
