Hello there, future best friend! ​My name is ready to be whatever you want to call me, but for now, I'm just the happiest, sweetest 4-year-old Southern gent you ever did meet. I just took a big road trip all the way from Alabama up to Minnesota, and let me tell you, I am loving the fresh air up here! ​Right now, I tip the scales at about 50 pounds, but my foster family says I'm carrying a little extra ""southern hospitality"" around my middle. We are currently working on a fitness plan to get me a bit trimmer, which is great because it means plenty of fun walks! ​I'm what you might call ""cautiously curious."" I absolutely love the outdoors and exploring new places, but I like to take my time and really investigate things. Don't worry, though--I've got plenty of confidence! Show me a brand-new room, and I'll walk right in to check it out. ​Meeting new people? Sign me up! I'm always happy to make a new human friend, and I really enjoy the company of other dogs, too. That said, I'm also a mature guy who respects boundaries. I'm perfectly content doing my own thing, having a little space to relax, and letting you do yours. ​A few of my favorite things: ​Investigating: Every smell tells a story, and I'm a great detective. ​Getting Fit: Working on my steps to get down to my goal weight. ​Chew Toys: I love them (and bonus: they are totally calorie-free!). ​Interior Decorating: I am a proud collector. I like to gather up my toys and keep them in my own special, secret spots. ​I'm settled into my foster home, but what I'm really waiting for is my true forever person to share my fitness journey and my heart with. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.
