My Story

FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Rancher! Rancher is a 7-month-old, 30 lb Australian Shepherd mix puppy who is very bright and has all the potential to become an incredible partner for an active, experienced home. This handsome boy is exactly what you would expect from a young herding breed smart, observant, and always ready to learn. Rancher thrives when he has a job to do and loves working alongside his handler. He quickly picks up on new tasks, enjoys learning, and would be an excellent candidate for agility, obedience, trick training, or any activity that keeps both his mind and body engaged. Rancher is active, playful, and well-socialized with other dogs. He loves having canine friends and would thrive in a home with another playful, similarly sized or larger dog to wrestle, learn from, and burn energy with. He also loves the water and is always up for an adventure! Rancher is looking for a very hands-on adopter who understands the needs of working breeds. Hell do best with someone who is committed to continuing his training, providing daily exercise, and giving him plenty of mental enrichment. He would especially enjoy a home where someone is around much of the time and can dedicate the time and consistency he needs to reach his full potential. Due to his strong natural herding instincts, high prey drive, and hard mouth when it comes to small animals, he is best suited to a home without small pets and children. Rancher is doing well with his house training and is mostly housetrained when given regular opportunities to go outside. Rancher is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $650.
