image If you're looking for a dog who is an instant bestie, look no further. River is a soulful, 2-year-old gentleman who has mastered the art of being both independent and incredibly affectionate. He's the kind of dog who greets everyone like a long-lost friend and finds comfort in the smallest (and oddest) of places. He gets excited to meet new pups and is relaxed and easygoing when walking with furry companions. He loves road trips, especially when he can sniff the air out the window! He's had limited exposure to cats but has had positive controlled interactions. His curiousity could be overwhelming to some felines. Despite having actual beds, River's favorite place to sleep is inside a laundry basket full of toys. He is crated at night and enters willingly for a treat or toy. He's also great at communicating-if his stomach is upset or he needs a bathroom break, he'll whine to let you know it's time to go outside.
