Do you love weiner dogs? Meet RJ! RJ is an eight-year-old full bred male dachsund who weighs 22 llbs. This little ball of cuddles is seriously looking for a forever home. He is a typical weiner dog. We think he would flourish in a home that appreciates the personality quirks of the breed. It is not unusual to see RJ observing his those around him, watching for signs of what appropriate behavior is expected. Reward him with a Good boy, hell thank you with a big smile and a nonstop tail wags. Not much for toys, RJ loves long or short walks. He's been going on several walks a day with his new foster mom to slim down some and he has no objections! It is not unusual for him to lay on his back and make it easier for you to put his harness on him. He loves meeting new small doggies. He is more hesitant with large dogs. If the large dog is too nosey, RJ will let it know firmly that its not a good idea. Unexpected squirrel, rabbit, or chipmunk sightings are always a special treat though. He loves to ride in the car too. This little guy is smart as a whip! He is completely house trained, and has fairly consistent 9pm bedtime. RJ does look to his family to set him up with a convenient daily schedule but can handle occasional changes. Rambunctious younger children make him nervous and are not a good fit. Dislikes?
