Sakari came to Hearts United for Animals through a Best Friends transfer with the help of Dog Is My CoPilot, and she is looking for a patient family that will give her the time she needs to feel safe and secure. This sweet girl can be shy when meeting new people and experiencing unfamiliar situations, preferring to take things slowly as she learns who and what she can trust. Once Sakari forms a bond, however, she is incredibly loyal and tends to become especially attached to her favorite person. She loves having someone she can look to for comfort and reassurance, and she thrives when she knows she has a trusted friend by her side. Building that relationship may take a time, but for Sakari, the connection is well worth the wait. Sakari does wonderfully on a leash and enjoys exploring the world at a comfortable pace with someone she trusts. A calm home with understanding adopters will help her continue gaining confidence and settling into her new life.
