Meet Scarlett (ACCT-A-254743)! This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home. While she might start her day catching up on some beauty sleep in her kennel, she perks up as soon as she hears a friendly voice or a little "kissy" noise. Scarlett is a gentle soul with soft eyes and a wiggly tail that shows just how happy she is to meet new friends. She is a dream to handle-she walks well on a leash and is very easy to get out for her adventures. Once you're outside, Scarlett is all about the love. She's a total "lean-in" dog who will rest her paws on your legs just to be closer to you. She's also a smart cookie who already knows how to sit and takes treats very gently. Scarlett has shown she can be social with other dogs, too. Whether she's out for a walk or leaning in for some pets, Scarlett is a wonderful companion looking for a family to call her own. Came in with her nose to the ground. Got on top of destiny O with hackles raised. Steered off in the yard. 07/07/2026 per staff behavioral eval: Kennel Presentation: Sleeping on the bed when I approached her kennel. Made a kissy noise and she got up coming to the front door. Soft eyes, ears to the side, loose body and mid tail wagging. Took a treat gently through the bars. Leash Skills: Easy to leash and came right out of the kennel. Mildly pulls on the leash through the kennels and outside. Sociability: Leaned into all handling with soft eyes, ears to the side and mid tail wagging. When I sat on the bench she put her front paws on my legs and leaned into my body. Takes treats nicely and knows sit. Play: n/a Dog Interaction: Met Billy Bob. Good fence meeting. Pulled hard towards each other. Fast greetings and corrected when Billy Bob tried to hump. Return to Kennel: Pulled hard through the kennels going back to kennel.
