My Story

Sparky is our senior dog here at the shelter. We call him Sparky because despite what he has been through- he still has so much life in him. Sparky may have been subject to neglect as he was underweight and hairless from the neck down when brought to the shelter. Sparky is a little slow to jump as he is in his silver stage of life - but he still manages to jump for joy when he sees staff with treats. This precious dog knows that a stranger is just a friend you haven't met. He is so eager to explore the world around him and learn new things. He knows sit- so apparently you can still teach an old dog new tricks!
