STAR

Star appears to be having a difficult time adjusting to the shelter environment. Staff have observed her barking, growling, and lunging when unfamiliar people approach her kennel, and she has shown signs of significant stress since arriving at the shelter. Despite her initial reactions, Star was able to settle with time and walked well on leash once she felt more comfortable. At this time, Star would likely benefit from a patient adopter or foster willing to give her space to decompress and adjust at her own pace. As she settles in, we'll continue learning more about her personality and what helps her feel safe and secure.
