My Story

Meet Thar a water-loving adventurer with stunning bright blue eyes that look like they were borrowed straight from a sparkling summer pool. Sweet boy is basically part husky, part shepherd, and part tiny lifeguard in training! At just 4 months old, Thar is already making a splash everywhere he goes. This handsome little guy is a 34 lb dog with all the charm, fluff, and fun youd expect from a husky/shepherd mix. And as with animal rescue, breed is always a bit of a mysterybut whatever his recipe is, it clearly includes extra sweetness and a love for adventure. Watch Thars video here: https://youtu.be/3N4hI7c0g7g?si=mFE1wlO9VP6VMNOD Thar is currently living the good life with three adults who are helping him grow into a confident, social, and happy pup. This lucky boy is big fan of tagging along for golf cart rides (yes, hes basically a tiny VIP and yes, he has places to be), strolls to the park where he can meet new people, and even attending social events like the outgoing little gentleman he is. Hes a friendly, happy pup who loves being included in the fun. His foster family also keeps him active with fetch sessions and lets him show off one of his greatest talentsswimming like a total pro in the pool! And speaking of water... this is where Thar truly shines. His absolute favorite thing in the world is water in any form. Pool? Amazing. Baby pool? Fantastic. Hose spraying water? Best day ever. This sweet boy will happily swim, or try to catch streams from the hose, or chase water in circles with endless puppy enthusiasm like its his personal water park. At home, Thar lives with his sister and enjoys making new friends with the neighborhood pups who stop by for playdates. Hes learning all about being part of a fun pack and seems to genuinely love both canine and human companionship. Personality-wise, Thar is a wonderful mix of medium energy, loving, affectionate, and cheerful. Hes a happy boy who enjoys activity and playtime, but also knows how to settle in for snuggles. Hes incredibly smart for his age and is already picking up commands like a champ, showing off those sharp shepherd/husky brains. Thar is also doing a great job with his puppy basics. Hes working hard on crate training and settles in wellespecially if he has a favorite toy tucked in beside him for bedtime. Hes also making solid progress with potty training thanks to a consistent crate routine and regular potty breaks. When it comes to toys and treats, Thar knows what he likes: squeaky toys, tennis balls, and bones are at the top of his favorites list. If youre looking for a smart, affectionate puppy with movie-star looks, a playful spirit, and a love for water, Thar might just be your perfect match.
