My Story

***Local adoption only: Tigger needs a family in the central Florida region (Orlando area) who can commit to taking him to his final follow up appointments with PPR's vetting partners. The cost of these appointments is covered in his adoption donation.*** Hi, I'm Tigger, a 3-month-old Terrier boy. And we all know about tiggers – they're bouncy, pouncy and fun! True to my name, I'm happy, playful, and full of enthusiasm. At 6 pounds of pure puppy energy, I'm looking for a family who is willing to teach a young dog like me some of the old tricks. My curiosity and intelligence make me a fast learner, and my loving disposition is sure to bring joy to any home. Favorite Things: Tigger loves toys - the more the better - and is always up for a game of fetch with any toy in the bin! He also enjoys exploring the outdoors and is a great fan of chasing lizards and squirrels. He'll need supervision and a secure area, but you can count on him to help with the weeding and other gardening chores. Tigger is not a fan of loud noises and prefers to have someone nearby to guide him through new experiences. Training & Manners: Tigger is house trained in his current home where he is let out regularly. As a puppy, he'll need someone who is at home more often than not during his early months to help continue his training, let him out frequently, and raise him to be the best boy he was born to be. He already walks well on a leash, loves a car ride, and sleeps well in a secure space at night. Health & Care: Tigger is heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on vaccinations but will need additional vaccines in the near future. He has follow up appointments and neuter surgery scheduled with our vet partner and his adopters must commit to taking him to these appointments, as well as to post-surgery care. The cost of the procedure and appointments is covered in his adoption donation. He'll need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives like any dog, and regular brushing and nail trimming will help him look and feel his best. Other Animals: Tigger has experience with other small dogs and would enjoy a fur sibling to play with. He hasn't been tested with cats. Children: This sweet boy would do best in a home with children ages 8 and older. Ideal Home: Tigger would do fine in an apartment, condo, townhome or single home. He can be left alone in the home in a secure space for a few hours without issues. Overall: If you live in Central Florida and are willing to love and train a sweet, smart young pup with a big heart, Tigger may be the one for you. If you think he might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, his foster family will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $575.
