Meet Toast
Toast is an approximately 5.5-month-old pup weighing in at 22 pounds, and he's already come a long way from a difficult start in life. Toast was rescued from a hoarding situation in Missouri along with three other dogs, including fellow SBR rescue pup, Tater.
Toast was neutered, microchipped and vaccinated on 5/13 and is currently settling into a wonderful foster home in St. Louis, where he's getting the care, stability, and love every puppy deserves. SBR is hoping to bring Toast to Seattle around June 5th, and he is expected to be available for adoption after June 10th.
As a young pup, Toast will need a securely fenced yard where he can safely burn off his puppy energy. He would also do best in a home with another confident, playful dog who can help show him the ropes and help him adjust to life as a loved family member.
Right now, Toast is still adjusting to life outside of his previous environment, and we are continuing to learn more about his personality, confidence, and preferences. As he settles into foster care and begins to blossom, we'll keep updating his profile with new information.
We're so excited to see what the future holds for this sweet boy.
Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.
We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
