Hello everyone! My name is Wesley, and I'm a handsome little Miniature Pinscher mix pup, about 6 months old, weighing 15.8 lbs, and I am super lucky to be alive! I was a stray puppy in Port Lavaca, Texas, which is really bad news since the only local animal shelter euthanizes everyone. Bless my lucky stars when 4 Little Paws Rescue stepped in just in the nick of time to save all of us! 26 dogs and puppies' lives were spared and sent to foster homes in and around San Antonio while we get ready for adoption. What a relief! I am now vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, healthy, and ready to live an amazing life as someone's forever dog! My foster mom says I am sweet and shy, timid at first with people, and friendly instantly with other dogs. I warmed up quickly to being held in her arms for some love and snuggles, but I am still hesitant to approach and ask for love. I am starting to discover doggy toys, but I've already mastered running some zoomies. Im blossoming like a little flower that has just found the sun! I have a medium energy level, am good in a crate, and love going for rides in the car. Im doing great with housebreaking lessons, rarely bark, and I'm still getting comfortable with a leash. I sleep in my foster mom's bedroom either on the floor or in a doggy bed, but have recently learned how to jump onto her bed just in case I decide to sleep with her, LOL.
