Meet Winston! Winston is a young Black Lab mix with a big heart, an enthusiastic spirit, and plenty of personality! This handsome guy appears to have spent some time fending for himself, so he's still learning what it means to be a beloved family pet. Basic manners and training are all new to Winston, but he's eager to engage with people and is ready to learn. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, we think he'll make wonderful progress. Winston is a sweet boy who enjoys attention and is excited to be part of the action. Like many young dogs, he can be a little rough around the edges, but beneath it all is a loving companion looking for someone to show him the ropes. Winston is searching for a family that understands young dogs need guidance and is willing to invest the time to help him become the best boy he can be. In return, you'll gain a loyal friend who will be forever grateful for a second chance. Could Winston be the one you've been waiting for? The adoption fee is $350 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission. If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee. It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel. If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to [email protected]. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal. If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.
