My Story

Meet Yogi! Yogi is a 40-pound bully breed mix with a heart as big as his smile. Since leaving the shelter, he has settled beautifully into foster life and continues to show what a sweet, loving boy he truly is. Yogi has a clean bill of health and absolutely adores people. Whether he's meeting new people, hanging out at the office, or relaxing at home, he's happiest when he's around his humans. In fact, he's been accompanying me to work from 95 and has been a perfect office companion! He's still very much a puppy at heart, with playful energy and curiosity about the world around him. Because of his enthusiasm, I think he'd do best with children ages 10 and up who can comfortably handle his playful nature. He's gentle and affectionate, loves toys, enjoys chewing on bully sticks, and is always ready for a little fun. Yogi is learning his manners quickly. He's easy to walk on a leash, is working on basic commands, and already knows how to sit for a treat. He occasionally barks at things that are new or unfamiliar to him, but he's gaining confidence every day. One of my favorite things about Yogi is how adaptable he is. He settles down nicely in the car and often falls asleep during rides. At bedtime, he's welcome on the bed but usually chooses his own dog bed instead. Yogi hasn't been around other dogs since leaving the shelter because he has not been neutered yet. However, based on his friendly temperament and playful personality, I think he would thrive in a home with another dog of similar size who can help show him the ropes and be his playmate. His experience with cats is currently unknown. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is equal parts playful, sweet, and eager to learn, Yogi may be the perfect addition to your family. He's ready to find a forever home where he can continue growing into the amazing dog he's already becoming. He probably doesn't require a yard as long as her gets long walks and play time. But definitely would love his own yard. He has not yet been left alone at home without people. Potty training has not been an issue as long as he has plenty of opportunities to go outside to potty every 2-3 hours during the day and can hold it all night from 9-6.
