If you love tortoiseshell kitties, wait until you see me! I am Harriett, and my foster mom says I’m the “Princess Diana” of torties. I am 5 months old and sport the most beautiful, marbled short-haired coat and huge round eyes that make me look constantly surprised – but don’t be fooled, I am very smart/energetic. I LOVE play sessions – please, toss me balls, little mice and kick toys until I drop. I can be very affectionate, but I stay busy, so I prefer being petted by and playing with my person rather than being held or sitting on a lap – that’s my tortie independent streak. I’m also be a little shy at first, but once we’re friends, I’ll reward you with my many silly antics and my very loud purring. Come get me now, tortie lovers! To meet Harriet at PFC you must have an application on file with us and been pre-approved to adopt a cat or kittens. Our adoption hours are intended for pre-approved adopters. An application for pre-approval to adopt can be picked up at the shelter during adoption hours or sent by email to be filled out and brought in. Once you have been pre-approved, you are welcome to come to the shelter during adoption hours to be shown the cats. Kittens are adopted in “pairs” unless there is a single kitten and that would require another cat at home..
