Pearl

Mellow, Wary, Sweet Pearl is a calm, lovely tabby who recently finished raising four kittens...phew...hard work, but job well done! She has more than earned a future filled with gentle scritches, leisurely naps in warm sunbeams and loads of love. Pearl didn't reveal much about herself when she first arrived as a pregnant mom. But, each day we are seeing more of her sweet personality. She is reserved, but she definitely has a softer side and wants to share affection with people. She isn't accustomed to humans she can trust which makes her feel vulnerable. But, she just needs someone to give her a chance to discover there are good people in the world who she can always rely on to treat her with kindness and love. Pearl has increasingly been letting her guard down which has been so rewarding to see! When you talk to her she will lovingly rub against your legs and wiggle on her back. She will chirp a hello and will cautiously accept booty and belly rubs, obviously enjoying the attention. Pearl has not interacted with the resident cats in her foster home. But, she watches them hang out with her foster mom and it clearly relaxes her to see their cozy relationship. She would benefit from a household that includes a kitty friend to show her how it's done and to help her feel brave! Pearl's ideal home would be low-key with patient humans who will lovingly show her there's no need to worry anymore. She would do best in a household with adults only or with mellow, respectful older kids - a cat buddy would be great!. Being loved and cared for are new concepts for sweet Pearl.
