Buddy (Photos June 27th 2026 and March 6th 2026)

Buddy is a magnificent 3-year old male American Pit Bull Terrier mix (possibly American Bulldog mix) who was surrendered by his owner on March 2, 2026. Buddy's housemate/companion Cocoa Pretzel (a senior female mahogany/white Pit Bull Terrier mix) was also surrendered because their owner could no longer take care of them. Buddy has a tan coat with a patch of white on his broad chest, white paws, a long tail, and an adorable chubby face with brown eyes, a dusting of white on his muzzle, a liver-colored nose, and short floppy ears. Buddy has a nice super-sweet 'smile' which matches his personality. This handsome guy has a happy, outgoing personality. Buddy is very photogenic and a natural for the camera lens. Buddy is a fairly big guy with a muscular/stocky build who weighs 76 lbs. He walks well on a leash. Buddy's artistic talent was revealed during the HSOV Shelter Sketches Fundraising Event on June 27, 2026 when his Paw Print-Inspired Patriotic American Flag Painting was proudly displayed Thanks to local artist Deidre Johnson for her assistance in helping Buddy put the creative touches on his painting. Buddy was a social butterfly that afternoon who was good with other dogs and also with children. Thanks to HSOV Volunteer Alicia Byrd for being Buddy's date and for escorting Buddy to The Betsey Mills Club Buddy will be neutered before he is officially adopted. He can be fostered/fostered-to-adopt while he is awaiting his neuter procedure with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application.
