My Story

Prime - ID# 20323 - Kennel #859 - Arrived June 25th - American Pit Bull Terrier Mix - Brown and White - Male - 5 Years Old - 70.2 lbs - Neutered - Up to Date on Vaccines - Heartworm Negative Prime is a five-year-old brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a rich chocolate coat, warm amber eyes, a broad handsome face, and a smile so big and genuine it takes up his entire face. He arrived at Cobb Animal Services on June 25th and here is something worth knowing right away - in his kennel he can look intimidating, the way a big confident dog sometimes does behind a fence. But the moment he comes out, that image dissolves completely. Prime is a teddy bear - well behaved, gentle, and an absolute joy to be around. Prime is house trained, dog friendly, good with children, knows sit and stay, and walks beautifully on leash. He is a great dog in every sense of the word - the kind who makes you wonder within five minutes of meeting him how he is still available. At 70.2 lbs he is a big, solidly built, handsome boy with the kind of calm, settled presence that only comes with a five-year-old dog who is fully comfortable in his own skin. At five years old Prime is right in his prime - fully grown, completely himself, and ready to be someone's devoted companion for many wonderful years to come. He is past the unpredictable puppy stage and everything that makes him so great is already right there on the surface, waiting to be appreciated. Do not let the kennel fool you. The real Prime is the one who steps outside and transforms into the gentlest, most well mannered teddy bear you have ever met. He is waiting in Kennel #859 with that enormous chocolate smile, ready for the person who will look past the fence and see exactly what is there. Come meet him - you will not be disappointed.
