My Story

Some puppies wag their tails. Chalupa Chase seems to wag from his eyebrows all the way to his back feet. Why greet people politely when throwing a tiny parade in their honor is also an option!? We will not be raining on his parade! Every hello is a full-body celebration, every new friend is the best friend he's ever met, and every ordinary day is worthy of yelling BEST DAY EVER! Equal parts cuddle bug, playground buddy, and professional mood booster, Chalupa is everything people hope for when they dream about bringing home a wonderfully joyful puppy. Go watch Chalupa Chase on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this wonderfully wiggly youngster. Between the happy hops, puppy playfulness, and ever-present smile, you'll quickly understand why everyone falls for this sweet boy. https://youtu.be/DP8UjcrdL-c Estimated to be around 6 months old, Chalupa weighs about 38 pounds and still has some growing to do. He looks very much like a Staffordshire Terrier or Pit Bull mix, though as with all rescue dogs, his breed and age are simply our best guess. One of Chalupa's greatest talents is making life feel light and easy. He genuinely enjoys everyone he meets, both human and canine, and carries himself with the happy confidence of a puppy who assumes good things are waiting around every corner. He absolutely loves other dogs and has beautiful social skills, happily joining the fun while respecting boundaries and taking corrections gracefully. Play hard? Absolutely. Cause drama? Not even a little. For a youngster, he's already putting together a wonderful collection of life skills. He walks nicely on leash, rides beautifully in the car, settles comfortably in his kennel, and patiently sits to receive treats with the sweetest manners. He's gentle with food, respectful with toys, and eager to learn, making him an especially enjoyable puppy to grow alongside. Give him room to stretch those long puppy legs and you'll be rewarded with joyful zoomies, goofy play sessions, and plenty of laughter. When playtime winds down, Chalupa happily trades action for affection, soaking up cuddles and simply enjoying being close to his people. He doesn't need constant entertainment to be content. Being included is more than enough. If your idea of the perfect companion includes a puppy who is playful without being overwhelming, affectionate without being clingy, and genuinely fun to share everyday life with, Chalupa is ready to bring his wagging tail, happy heart, and endless supply of smiles home with you.
