His story began with heartbreak after he was abandoned on the side of the road, where he faithfully waited in the very same spot for three days, hoping the people he loved would come back for him. Thankfully, his next chapter is going to be so much brighter. Despite everything he's been through, Hensley has remained incredibly gentle and loving. He appears to have experienced abuse in his past, so he's still building his confidence and learning that the world can be a safe, kind place. With a little patience, encouragement, and lots of love, Hensley continues to blossom more every day. One of Hensley's favorite things in the world is water! Whether it's splashing in a kiddie pool or cooling off on a warm day, he's always ready for some fun. He's not exactly the most graceful swimmer, but what he lacks in swimming skills, he more than makes up for with enthusiasm and pure joy. Hensley is crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash with very minimal pulling, and is an absolute dream to take on adventures. He's also incredibly photogenic, you'll find it nearly impossible to take a bad picture of this handsome boy! His expressive eyes, goofy smile and extremely boopable nose have a way of stealing everyone's heart.
