My Story

Meet Cooper, he's looking for his forever pack! Cooper came to us from the San Bernardino City Shelter and he's currently being fostered in Canoga Park, where he's been stealing hearts all over the San Fernando Valley. This guy is a 1 year old, 45 lb Husky who is goofy, sweet, and honestly one of the most affectionate dogs we've fostered in a while. He's a total Husky. Opinionated, talkative, and not afraid to tell you about it. Greeting you at the door, narrating his walks, complaining about dinner being five minutes late, if you've never lived with a Husky before, get ready. He's not being bad, he's just being Cooper. He's also a total love bug. Tons of kisses, great with kids, easygoing and warm. He's not mouthy, doesn't resource guard, and isn't leash reactive, which is honestly impressive for a young Husky. Cooper does well with most dogs (though he can be a little choosy about his friends), and he's shown curiosity, not fixation, around cats on leash, so an experienced owner doing slow intros might be able to make a cat household work. He's crate trained, healthy, neutered, and current on vaccines. He shouldn't be crated more than 2 to 4 hours at a time, and he needs an active home, think 3 to 4 mile walks daily. He's still very much in puppy mode, but he'll mellow with time. Cooper is available to adopt anywhere in the USA and is currently being fostered in Canoga Park, CA If you know and love the chaos that is a Husky, he could be your guy. Come meet him!
