My Story

*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Total Adoption Fee: $895 This includes our standard adoption fee of $395 plus an additional required $500 tax-deductible donation. Why the additional donation? Dogs with highly desirable traits-such as low-shedding coats and popular breeds-help us fund lifesaving care for dogs who need it most, including nursing moms, imaging and surgeries for dogs with traumatic injuries, and medications for those requiring lifesaving heartworm treatments. Your generosity makes this possible! Meet Fortitude! True to his name, Fortitude is a brave little soul in the gentlest way. Though he can be a bit shy when meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar places, there's a quiet strength in him that shines through more every day. With a little patience and kindness, he quickly reveals his true personality, a silly, affectionate pup who just wants to love and be loved. Once Fortitude feels safe, his playful side comes to life. He'll surprise you with his goofy antics, wiggly excitement, and the sweetest little quirks that make you smile without even trying. Whether it's a soft nuzzle or curling up close for comfort, he shows his love in the most heartfelt ways. Fortitude is still learning that the world isn't so scary, and he's looking for someone who will guide him with gentle encouragement and a whole lot of love. In return, he'll be your most loyal companion, proof that sometimes the quietest dogs have the biggest hearts. He is doing well with potty training and crate training and working on leash walking. He loves playing with squeaky toys and is very food-motivated, which will help with training. He would do well with another confident dog in the home to show him the ropes but would be fine as a solo dog as well. Due to his timidness, he would be best suited in a home with older children or no children. If Fortitude sounds like the furry friend that would make your life complete, make an appointment to meet him today!
