Hello. My name is KayLee, and I am six years old. My heart is broken. I was adopted from Dantes Hope as a puppy and thought I had found my forever family. But this past week, I found myself sitting in a small rural shelter, confused and scared. Dantes Hope was told I was a stray, but I wasnt. When my people brought me there, I didnt understand what was happening. I cried and tried to follow them when they left. I am not a stray. I am not disposable. I have feelings. I love deeply. I dont understand why this happened to me. Thankfully, Dantes Hope came back for me. My foster mom welcomed me into her home and is taking good care of me while I wait for a family who will never leave me behind again. I am kennel trained, up to date on all my vaccines, microchipped (thank goodness!), and spayed. I currently weigh about 30 lbs. The thought of what could have happened if Dantes Hope hadnt come for me is very scary. I am settling in well with my foster family. At first, the other dogs made me a little nervous, but after just a few hours we became friends. My foster mom says Im a wonderful girl who deserves a second chance.
