Mary is a young sweetheart with the biggest heart and so much love to give. This Lab/Heeler mix girl is almost 1-year-old and weighs around 30 pounds. Marys story began with heartbreak. She and her sister, Martha, were abandoned at an interstate exit in Arkansas. Kind people stepped in to feed, sponsor, and protect them until they could be safely fostered. Mary is wonderful with children and other dogs. She has a gentle, affectionate personality and believes she is a lap dog! She loves giving hugs and kisses and has a sweet habit of cobbinggentle little love nibbles on your hands or chin to show affection. She is incredibly smart and eager to learn. Mary knows how to use a doggie door, is mostly house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is even learning hand signals. Most importantly, Mary shares an inseparable bond with her sister, Martha. They have been through so much together, and we are committed to keeping them together. They bring each other comfort, confidence, and joy.
