My Story

Personality: Raven will make you laugh every day, she is a fluffy goofball who will re-energize your life! Education: Crate trained and fully potty trained. Leash trained as well, but walks are difficult for her; she's not a fan of the unknown. Favorite Activities: Interactive noisy toys, playing hide and seek, eating from puzzle feeders Looking For: Raven will need a family that can accommodate her blind enthusiasm and energy. She loves to play rough so any other dogs in the house would need to be able to tolerate that. She does well when other dogs "check" her and establish boundaries, so a confident dog playmate would be best. Special Needs/Concerns: She is blind which is determined to be congenital by Neurologist who gave her a good bill of health otherwise. BIO: I can soar like a bird and am ready to spread my wings! I am Raven, a sweet and rambunctious blind Doodle girl, currently weighing in at 34 lbs. My favorite activities include playing hide and seek and barking out the car window. My lack of vision does not stop me, and I enjoy playing with interactive dog toys that make noise as well as puzzle feeders. I am always a very busy bird around the house and yard! I am crate trained and enjoy having it covered, as my safe space. I am a master napper throughout the day in my crate. I am already fully potty trained, and will need basic puppy lessons and help with leash training. In a new environment, I will take a little bit to find the preferred exits outside for my bathroom breaks, but I am a quick learner and very food motivated! I am leash trained, but walks are difficult for me; I am not a fan of the unknown. I twirl too much to actually have a good time on outings. I learned how to sit with treats and will do it even without treats at times, but consistency is key! And I am pretty confident that I am capable of learning other tricks. I don't bark a lot, unless I am playing or trying to tell my people something. I need my energy burned out for the day or I may get a little fussy. Other than that, I am really enjoying the garden, sunbathing and being outside for hours on my own. I don't like super loud noises like helicopters or loud motorcycles. Since I am blind, it is helpful to talk to me often and give me verbal cues to let me know when you will pet me or are going to put my leash on. I will do best in a home with children at least 10-12 years or older. I love to roughhouse with my dog friends and would do well in a home with another dog who can tolerate and engage in my puppy energy level. In regard to my blindness, my forever family will need to be cautious of stairs, access to and around pools, and staying off tall furniture to keep me safe throughout my life. I like to think I can fly but cannot, so I will soar in other ways. I have been to the neurologist and got a good bill of health and can't wait to "see" who my forever family will be! My adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please apply!
