Takoda

Takoda is a beautiful 5-year-old Chocolate Lab with a heart as big as her wagging tail. She came to the shelter through no fault of her own. Sadly, the new baby in her family was found to be allergic to dogs, and although they loved Takoda very much, they made the difficult decision to find her a new home where she can continue to thrive. Takoda is everything you could want in a family dog. She is incredibly sweet, loves people, and always seems to have her tail wagging. She has done well meeting other dogs and doesn't pay much attention to our shelter cats. Having lived indoors with a family, she is already accustomed to home life and would fit right into almost any household. Like many Labs, Takoda loves to chase a tennis ball—and she usually remembers to bring it back! She enjoys spending time with her people and is ready to be someone's loyal companion once again. Takoda is also on a wellness journey. She arrived at the shelter weighing 103 pounds, and we're helping her slim down to a healthier goal weight of around 7580 pounds. A family committed to continuing her healthy diet and regular exercise will help her feel her very best. Takoda is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and ready to start her next chapter.
