My Story
Meet Winnie the Pooh!
Don't let the sweet face fool you-Winnie the Pooh is the queen of her brothers, and she knows it!
Born to Mama Bear, a young Belgian Malinois/Black Mouth Cur mix who was struggling to raise her puppies outdoors on a rural Louisiana property without proper food or veterinary care, Winnie was given a second chance when Take Paws Rescue welcomed the little family into safety. Soon afterward, a devastating parasite burden swept through the litter, leaving several puppies critically ill. Thanks to exceptional veterinary care, endless dedication, and Mama Bear's unwavering love, Winnie and her brothers overcame the odds and are now healthy, thriving, and ready for forever homes.
From the very beginning, Winnie has been the biggest and healthiest puppy in the litter, and somewhere along the way she decided that also made her the boss.
As the only girl among a house full of rambunctious brothers, Winnie doesn't take any guff from the boys. If one of them gets a little too rowdy, she's more than happy to wrestle him back into his proper place with confidence well beyond her size. She carries herself with the poise of a tiny diva-and we absolutely adore it.
But beneath that confident exterior is a puppy whose favorite place in the world is right in your lap.
Winnie absolutely melts for human affection. She loves being cuddled, soaking up attention, and reminding you that even the toughest little girls need someone to love. She's also a big fan of mealtime and has the cutest post-dinner routine: after filling her tiny tummy, she'll often rest her little head against the cool water bowl and drift off into a contented puppy nap. It's one of those irresistible habits guaranteed to make you smile.
Curious and adventurous, Winnie insists on being the first to inspect every new toy, investigate every new sound, and discover whatever exciting thing is happening next. She approaches life with confidence, enthusiasm, and just the right amount of sass.
With her soft golden fluffy coat accented by adorable black markings that frame her expressive little face, Winnie is every bit as beautiful as she is charming.
She's looking for a family that will appreciate both sides of her personality: the fearless little girl who keeps her brothers in line and the affectionate sweetheart who just wants to curl up in your lap at the end of the day.
If you're searching for a puppy with confidence, intelligence, endless charm, and a heart full of love, Winnie the Pooh is ready to become your favorite cuddle buddy-and your very own lap warmer.
